What is Art by Design?

Art by Design is a unique event series that brings together over a dozen interior design teams to create custom “vignettes” within a chic gallery showroom.  Every year, we draw a crowd of hundreds to an exciting mix of events, including an exclusive VIP dinner and cocktail receptions.  All proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales go to ArtsMemphis and help us award grants to 80 local arts groups and artists.

For the third consecutive year, Memphis’ interior design community is showcasing its talent to support the greater creative community.

This year, for the first time, we will open the showroom to the general public for three days.  We expect to attract a diverse crowd of all ages.

There will be a variety of special presentations and activities, including a presentation on “The Art of Entertaining” by JJ Keras, and a talk by nationally acclaimed interior designer Marshall Watson, hosted by the Decorative Arts Trust at 10:30 am on Saturday, April 7th.
