Creative Aging’s Senior Art Series
Creative Aging kicks off the 5th Annual Senior Arts Series at Lindenwood Christian Church’s Stauffer Hall with an abridged rendition of Playhouse on the Square’s Ain’t Misbehavin’. The musical is a tribute to the black musicians of the 1920s and 1930s who were part of the Harlem Renaissance, an era of growing creativity, cultural awareness, and ethnic pride. The wartime comedy is about two very different bandsmen and their misadventures with gangsters, romance, and black-marketing in Blitz-time London. The program is followed by a complimentary reception.
