Creative Aging’s Senior Art Series
Performance featuring a special presentation of Theatre Memphis’ rendition of the Broadway hit Hairspray. The musical is set in 1962 Baltimore where Tracy Turnblad’s dream is to be on The Corny Collins Show, a local TV dance show. When Tracy gets a role, she becomes an overnight celebrity, meeting a colorful array of characters and advancing social change as she campaigns for the show’s integration. The program is followed by a complimentary reception.
