Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery (Memphis) Hosts 5k “Run to Remember” Fundraiser for Camp Good Grief
Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery in Memphis is hosting a “Run to Remember” 5k on Sunday, Oct. 6 to raise funds for Camp Good Grief, as well as a family fun day.
Runners will wind their way through the naturally rolling terrain of Memorial Park. Among the beautiful sights to see along the course: a curved reflecting pool and three-tiered fountain at the entrance, stone bridges and elaborate structures by Mexican artist Dionicio Rodriguez.
The family friendly event will include moon bounces, face painting and games for kids. Refreshments will also be available.
Founded in 1999, Camp Good Grief is the Mid-South’s first children’s bereavement camp. The organization’s aim is to provide children 6-12 years old with an enjoyable, accepting and supportive environment where they can freely express their feelings about the loss of a loved one.
