Brooks Museum Designer Talk
The Memphis Fashion Design Network is created to support and cultivate local designers and artist in the fashion industry. The non-profit will bring and keep the region’s top emerging designers in Memphis where their talent can help fuel economic growth. Key elements for the MFDN are education, workforce development, entrepreneurship and manufacturing.
MFDN will head up Memphis Fashion Week’s Emerging Memphis Designer Project and The Lab incubator and works with Memphis College of Art to implement educational programs. These programs will encompass both the Continuing Education courses as well as the introduction of graduate level fashion design courses. By teaming up with seasoned fashion industry professionals through out the country, MFDN and MCA will be able to create a one of a kind program that will draw designers to Memphis both regionally and nationally to creating a fashion design industry like Memphis has never had before.
