The Memphis Flower Show 2018
The Memphis Garden Club and Dixon Gallery & Gardens are again hosting The Memphis Flower Show 2018: Headlines. The prestigious show, April 13-15, is one of only eight major flower shows sanctioned by the Garden Club of America. Held biennially, the Memphis Flower Show features magnificent floral arrangements inspired by works of art, current conservation applications, photography, botanical arts, needle art, jewelry, and local blue-ribbon horticulture selections.
This year’s show features five divisions of exhibits inspired by Contemplating Character, an exhibition of portrait drawings and sketches over two centuries, and Garden Club of America judges from across the country will judge each division. Additionally, the Conservation and Education exhibit, The Memphis Sands Aquifer: Protecting Our Buried Treasure, will highlight the priceless natural resource that provides Memphis with an abundant source of naturally purified water.
Thanks to the generous support of the Crawford-Howard Private Foundation, Headlines is free and open to the public on Saturday, April 14 (9:00am – 6:00pm) and Sunday, April 15 (11:00am – 5:00pm).
