The 30th annual Chef’s Celebrity Gala was held recently at the U of M Holiday Inn. The gala event featured the popular Teddy Bear Surprises and scrumptious dinner served by celebrity servers including: Jim Prentiss, Jr., (29 years of serving), Sandy McGee (26 years), Bill Pickens and Betsy Shaw (both 24 years), and Lattie Michael (20 years). It is an elegant fundraiser with hundreds of volunteers, sponsors, donors, and guests working together. The 2019 Chefs’ Celebrity Gala raised $250,000 to benefit the CAC and the kids they serve in our community.
