Advance Memphis celebrated its 10th annual Art for Jobs with a reimagined twist, featuring three days of art gallery previews that culminated in their first-ever virtual art sale. Art for Jobs is the largest fundraiser of the year and proceeds from the event go toward Advance Memphis' work in supporting economic revitalization in South Memphis. Through the generous support of artists, donors, volunteers and patrons, Advance Memphis raised over $200,000.
Staff and volunteers worked to keep everyone safe by taking temperatures during the art gallery preview tours.
Over 240 pieces of artwork were featured, including pieces from featured artists Carl Scott, Claudia Tullos-Leonard, and Beth Winterburn.
Staff members enjoyed putting 'Sold' stickers on artwork as it was purchased throughout the night.
Friends of Advance Memphis enjoyed fellowship as they previewed local art.
Steve Nash and Advance Memphis staff gathered during the virtual art sale to encourage patrons through live social media videos.
Advance Memphis' 575 Suzette Warehouse was transformed into an urban art gallery for the 10th annual Art for Jobs.
Advance Memphis staff worked throughout the event to keep the virtual sale running smoothly.
In addition to the artwork, patrons could purchase Advance Memphis mugs handcrafted by Belltower Coffeehouse & Studio.
