The Brooks Museum recently hosted a members-only Exhibition Opening Party for Bouguereau & America. This exhibition focuses on French academic painter William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s (1825-1905) paintings in US collections and how they reflect the tastes, beliefs and ambitions of America’s elite, and is on display until September 22.
