The Beale Street Walk of Fame
Fans, dignitaries, and musicians united in Handy Park on Beale Street on Sunday, March 23, to celebrate Aretha Franklin. The Queen of Soul was being posthumously honored with a Brass Note on the Beale Street Walk of Fame. A New Orleans-style Second Line led attendees from Handy Park to Alfred’s for the official presentation of the 178th note to be installed in the sidewalk along Beale Street.
