When you’ve been in the same job doing anything for 50 years, it’s a milestone; but to be a local disc jockey in the same market for 50 years, it’s momentous! For Ron Olson, making morning drive-time fun for listeners, combined with his love of music, 50 years has flown by. To celebrate, co-workers through the decades-to-present, family, and friends gathered at the Memphis Botanic Garden to toast the occasion. While Ron has been inducted into the Tennessee Radio Hall of Fame, he has no plans to rest on the accolades. Ron and Karen Perrin are on 104.5 The River each weekday morning, and Ron continues to flex his artistic muscles with music-themed paintings.
