Photography by C. Johnson Photography
March 21 was Walkin’ in Memphis for World Down Syndrome Day, and the celebration took place at Beale Street Landing. Attendees enjoyed a live band, bar, food trucks, Company d as guest dancers, and a large silent auction. Josh Greer walked 21 miles (14 hours) and visited 21 businesses downtown and in midtown to raise $21,000 for the Down Syndrome Association. His purpose was to raise awareness in support of his daughter, Marley, who was born with Down Syndrome. The Memphis bridge was lit up to the blue and yellow colors of Down Syndrome in support of World Down Syndrome Day! ndss.org
