Jim is a 4th generation Memphian, and he was educated in Memphis. Jim has an undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Memphis. He is co-founder of Strategic Wealth Management and has 25 years experience in the financial services industry. He currently serves on the board of the Memphis Botanic Garden and Palmer Home for Children, as well as Memphis Shelby County Law Enforcement Foundation. Jim’s eagerness to magnify the mercy ministries and wonderful people of Memphis is evident in 4Memphis since purchasing it in 2011. Jim and his wife, Susan, are raising three energetic children who share their parents’ enthusiasm for Memphis. He is an avid Grizzlies and Tigers fan, and he rarely misses a game!
Sandi Butler Hughes
Sandi is a native Memphian, and she is a graduate of Briarcrest High School and Memphis State University. She began as a copywriter for Goldsmith’s Department Stores when advertising was created locally and specific to the Southern sensibilities, and through the years has written for numerous publications, corporations and clients in the Mid-South. In addition to her creative writing career, Sandi has been working in the IT staffing industry since 1995. Now that her three most beloved projects – Trey, Lucy and Anna Lynn – are grown, she can be found chasing the blues from downtown to the Delta. Recent projects that she has worked on include Shacksdale at the Shack Up Inn in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and the Americana Music Triangle, a global concept promoting Roots music. Sandi is grateful to be seeking the peace and prosperity of Memphis.
Ben Williams is a freelance graphic designer based in Jackson, TN. He brings over eight years of magazine design and production experience to the 4Memphis team. In addition to 4Memphis magazine, Ben works with a diverse range of clients, from dining to healthcare professionals. He and his wife, Janie, have three children and a Jack Russell terrier named Petey.

Mark has been with this publication, first as VIP and now 4Memphis magazine for nearly five years. If that weren’t enough to keep him busy, you might also find Mark “tripping the light fantastic” doing the Argentine Tango – he’s been to Buenos Aries twice to study Tango and traveled around U.S. with the local group Memphis Argentine Tango Society. In his “down” time, you might spot him with his pet Briard “Elvis” at Shelby Farms.
Cathy is a native Memphian who attended Briarcrest High School and studied Fashion Merchandising and Marketing at the University of Memphis. She spent nearly 20 years in the Medical Device Industry in Marketing and Research for Smith and Nephew and Wright Medical Technology.
She is married to a Texan, Earle Farrell, who has called Memphis home for 36 years and is a local television and radio personality, currently with Fox and KWAM990. They have two grown children, J.B., and Taylor.
Cathy and Earle have Farrell Productions, Inc. where they have enjoyed working with clients in Memphis and other cities to produce numerous projects including the My Favorite Restaurant Series on PBS, Biographies on iconic Memphis personalities, and other feature pieces for television. Through Farrell Productions, Cathy has been a Marketing Consultant to a number of startup businesses and on a variety of projects in the Retail, Fashion, and Medical Industries.
In 2011, Cathy and Earle partnered with 4Memphis to bring their common goals together to share the wonderful stories of Memphis through The Earle Farrell 4Memphis Radio Show on KWAM990. Cathy enjoys producing the radio show with Earle, working with a variety of 4Memphis clients to promote their businesses, and loves bringing people together through all the 4Memphis resources.
