Near-Earth Object by Melissa Dunn
Near-Earth Object is Melissa Dunn’s third solo show at LRoss Gallery. These new paintings record how she continues to observe, study, and move through life with eyes wide open. In the language of abstraction, her paintings describe the experience of looking, noticing, and deciding, one shape at a time, what will land.
Melissa Dunn’s studio is in her house in Memphis, TN, where she was born and has spent most of her life. She teaches drawing and painting at Flicker Street Studio and is a volunteer at Carpenter Art Garden, an afterschool art program in Binghampton. Her work has been selected in several group exhibitions throughout the south.
