A Broad Look At

December is the month of abundance and assessment. We often take stock in the good and bad from the previous year and make our lists for the future. In fashion, much is the same as editors review the past trends, predict new ones, and watch what eventually rolls down the runway. One surprise trend was all the attention given to coats. There was a burst of creativity when it comes to outerwear for 2018 and local retailers have taken note. The day of this shoot was just what we needed- unexpected cold front, drizzling rain, and overcast skies. These wintery elements were the backdrop for our outdoor shoot along one of Memphis’ most recognizable urban revitalization stories- Historic Broad Avenue Arts District. This area is known for its colorful water tower, murals, and warehouse store fronts. All of it blended perfectly for our editorial featuring faux fur, puffy coats, and lots of layered cool.

AGELESS LAYERS

Here's a little secret-there were seven women on this fashion set, all ranging from 20s to 50s. Every single one wants this topper, and it's easy to see why.
