Good Grief! Art Opening

Genevieve Farr

Photography by Mark Ramirez

Artist and Photomicrographer Genevieve Farr held an opening celebration for her recent exhibit, Good Grief! Her work is an exploration of items - and her grief - through a microscopic lens. In this series, she reflects on the loss of love and loved ones during the pandemic. For instance, one of her large scale, microscopic images is an artificial flower from a gravesite. The unique images are printed on Kodak Endura Metallic paper on .25” Acrylic Face Mount. While Genevieve ponders her loss in these works, she also celebrates her growth and renewal with microscopic images of colorful soaps and rainbow sprinkles. The exhibit was at 409 S. Main, in conjunction with the pop-up CCC under Black Sheep Catering. Owned by Meredith and Keith Clinton, CCC is an eclectic mix lounge focused on champagne and fried chicken, @chicken_champagne_caviar on Instagram.
