Ken Hall Celebrates 60

Volunteer Odyssey

A birthday with a zero needs a certain special something. In this case, 4Memphis Arts Contributor Ken Hall, who turned 60, decided to celebrate his milestone with a fundraising party for Volunteer Odyssey. The nonprofit organization founded by Sarah Petschonek promotes volunteering, working with both individual volunteers and non-profit agencies that need help. The agency recently relocated its offices to Arrow Creative on Philadelphia Street in Midtown, which made the party location an easy choice. Decorations included fun party hats with QR codes that offered information about volunteer opportunities and donating. Showing the very best of servant leadership, Sarah volunteered to bartend at the party so Ken could enjoy visiting with friends. Guests came from many eras in Ken’s life – from elementary school to college, Hands on Memphis days to artists, and promoters of the arts to Church Health colleagues - and they all enjoyed celebrating his milestone birthday!
