On March 25, 4Memphis Music celebrated the second event of its charity concert series with "Stardust- One Night in Vegas- Presented by Buster's Liquors & Wines." The 4Memphis Music house in East Memphis was gifted by Elvis to Dr. Nic in the ‘70s, and it was overtaken for one night with showgirls, magic, lights, and a red carpet to create a one-of-a-kind, old-school Vegas evening (inspired by Elvis and Ann-Margret’s 1964 Viva Las Vegas). Guests experienced an all-star lineup of Alston Meeks, The Flying V's, Amy LaVere, Uriah Mitchell, Cyrena Wages, and the legendary Don Bryant. As the crowd fanned and praised Bryant upon his exit from the stage, DJ Edwin Adams kept the party going from the mini-jungle room stationed at the center of the house. Jessica Haas "live painted" a silent auction piece by the pool, SteveAnne (Tall Slim Collins) emceed the evening, and guests mingled in the tattoo parlor and the ladies only room. Charity poker was held by our friend Kila Wilson, craft cocktails were served up by Strangeways Solutions, and food trucks lined the backyard to keep everybody dancing - all benefitting For The Kingdom, a non-profit dedicated to supporting the needs of the 38128 community - ftkmemphis.org. Stay tuned for announcements about the next 4Memphis Music event.
