Our wedding day took place on a perfect, late-summer day in the mountains surrounding Vail. We were joined by our closest family and friends, made up of travelers from 23 different states. Our time leading up to the wedding was spent with my bridesmaids and family in our amazing rental home. We enjoyed looking out over the mountain views, listening to our favorite music, and catching up on old times. The trip up to the scenic mountain-side venue was eventful to say the least. We were lucky enough to see a black bear, a mountain lion, and other wildlife in what I felt was the perfect, unexpected addition to our day. Once at the venue the bridesmaids continued to get ready and excitedly reflect on the afternoon and night to come. The ceremony was at 4 pm in a wonderful space overlooking Piney Lake and the beautiful Gore range. My husband, Alex, and I were fortunate to take some amazing pictures with the help of our photographer to capture the once-in-a-lifetime moment in all its glory. Dinner, drinks, and plenty of dancing were to follow! I was incredibly lucky to spend the most perfect day in the most gorgeous place with the people I love most. -Grace
