The Beginning:
When this Birmingham boy and this Memphis girl both ended up living and working in Nashville- their paths crossed and they found each other on a blind date. The couple quickly fell for each other and have been together ever since. They now live together in the 12 South neighborhood of Nashville, but make sure to make frequent visits to the hometowns that shaped them.
The Preparation:
The Schledwitz family knows how to party. So while the bride was long distance planning from Nashville, she had plenty of on the ground support from her parents, Gail and Karl. The best part of planning was finding the wedding dress. Karly found her dress while on a family trip to Paris last spring!
The Memorable Day:
When you combine New Years’ Eve and a wedding, you know it is going to be a party! After the ceremony at Lindenwood Christian Church, the party began downtown at the Columns. The wedding featured a whiskey bar with specialty cocktails, a donut wall with white and gold Gibson’s donuts, personalized fortune cookies, and a champagne fountain with nearly 100 champagne glasses! Holliday Flowers even built a custom ball drop to make the midnight countdown extra special.
The Getaway:
The couple chose to wait for warmer weather and is traveling to Greece in May! While in Santorini and Mykonos, they will be wine tasting, learning to cook Greek food, and relaxing on a catamaran ride.
